The day was a little nerve wracking as I did not know what to expect. Though I had traveled down the week prior to scope out the area, it’s an entirely different scenario when boundaries have been set up, people are walking all over the place, and you have no idea where you are slated to park. Add to that the visual of the Tac-Tote truck and the people staring and I was a mighty bit uncomfortable.
After talking to a few very nice people who where clearly overwhelmed with traffic detail I was directed and ground guided into the main area and place in the most unexpected spot I could have imagined! As you can see in the images below, if you came to the event………….you walked past the Tac-Tote truck! It was the beginning of an amazing two day turned into four excursion.
It was great to meet some great folks from the Connecticut State Police. After seeing what vehicles were used for their purpose in this particular case, it was determined that the Tac-Tote products had a really good shot at making some aspects of the day to day routine much more organized. Hope to see more from them soon!
It’s always good to see a LENCO Bearcat and this one was no different. This is the oldest Bearcat in the State of Connecticut and as usual, open spaces everywhere for potential Tac-Tote products employment. I spoke with an awesome guy named Brian who allowed me to clammer all over the vehicle and take as many static images as I wanted. During that visit with him he introduced me to a representative of large company that may be interested in doing something with the Tac-Tote products.
Med kit at left can easily be replaced with a Tac-Tote Cadre kitted out with not only more medical products but products that are presented more efficiently to a user.
The CTSWAT Challenge is a very unique event with very unique people. It was great to be surrounded by some serious dudes who continue to stay sharp so that they can do the job most don’t want. These guys were my neighbors at the event for two days and had zero idea of what the Tac-Tote products were until I approached them when they were packing up to leave. This was a good thing as was clear evidence that they were focusing on the event and not getting distracted by the coolest products they’ve seen in years!
Many times I have asked companies to supply small items that I can mock up with my products so that I can demonstrate just what they do. Hexmag & Troy Industries for example. However there haven’t been many others who have done so until today when High Speed Gear came over per my request to check out why I was asking for some samples of their gear. They were gracious enough to give me a few items so that I could mock this little kit up as if you were a responding off duty police officer. It may not be all that you need, but its a nice little set up. I’ll be taking this mock up with me to the NTOA Conference in Milwaukee Wisconsin next month to show at my vendor booth.
