I was under the impression that the tail gate had not arrived yet and would be missing for the trip to Connecticut. On the morning of build day #8 I was happily surprised to learn otherwise.
Today the build will stop where it is so that I can get the truck and products down to the Connecticut SWAT Challenge event. I was running out of time and I still needed to get the truck safety inspected and aligned. Sirums in Greenfield really helped out by doing the alignment with zero notice and also did a few other minor things to insure a safe trip.
Lined up at Sirums hoping to get onto the rack.
On the rack and getting aligned!
Still filthy from the shop but getting shown publicly for the first time to family.
Lastly, getting gassed up for the road trip to the Connecticut SWAT Challenge.
RAW materials for when the truck returns to the shop for its final touches. Here you see some plate steel that will be used to fabricate the rear seat wall that will not only transport the products from place to place but also function as a demonstration platform as well.
On the right is the tube steel that will be used to fabricate the cage which will look fantastic and also house the turret hatch.
